Board of Directors
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 1976 and my Master’s in Early Childhood Education and Child Development in 1992. I began my teaching career at the South Boston Neighborhood School Daycare Center in South Boston, MA then taught at the Arlington Children’s Center in Arlington, MA. In 1987, I started teaching preschool in the Malden Public Schools in Malden, Ma. I then taught first and second grades, and finally landed in kindergarten for the next 22 years.

I have been very involved in the Massachusetts Teachers Association since 1987, serving on the Board of director’s office both the MTA and the National Education Association. I am now a member of the MTA’s Retired Members Committee. I retired from Malden in 2017 after having taught there for 30 years, where I also held the position of local union President. I have stayed very active with Wheelock College, having served as the president of the Alumni Association and served on several committees, including the Alumni Association Endowment Fund.

I was a founding member of Lucy’s Legacy Foundation, Inc., an independent foundation in charge of the alumni’s endowment account. I live in Tewksbury, MA with my husband, Troy Lemay, an 8th grade civics/history teacher in Lexington MA.
