Rachael Thames Basdekis ('07 BS/'08 MS) is an early childhood educator with a passion for making children's lives better. She served on the Wheelock College Alumni Board throught her time in the college (as a student representative) and after as an alum. She culminated her time on the board, as secretary,  when the BU merger took place. Rachael has been working in education since her graduation teaching preschool, consulting in early childhood education and providing educator training. She currently is a Kindergarten teacher at the Swift River School in New Salem, MA and continues to provide training to early childhood educators on a range of topics.
